I am just embarking on a new secret project connected with one of our most iconic prehistoric sites. Exciting and a little daunting!
I will be teaching a 2-day willow sculpture workshop at Starlight Cottage, Carswell Marsh between Oxford and Faringdon on 23rd/24th August 2023. There are no resrictions on what you can make other than the time so let your imagination run wild! I am happy to discuss ideas beforehand if you’d like to talk to me. Details and bookings are being handled directly through starlightcottage.co.uk This will be my last workshop in the south of England this year. Don’t miss it!
Due to the speedy filling of my workshops at Castle Park Arts Centre I have added some new dates to my Workshops page
Caroline will be installing an exciting new gateway sculpture at London Zoo on the 22nd February. This commission is to highlight the brand new community garden project that London Zoo is creating close to the Monkey Valley area. The Garden Project will provide a growing space for local residents and schools to experience and will highlight the importance of gardens for wildlife and for humans too. Visitors to the zoo will be welcome to look round the garden.
Don’t worry if you haven’t sorted out your Christmas presents yet. I can still email out a gift letter for a place on one of my Day Sculpture Workshops at Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham, Cheshire. I will be working up to Christmas Eve lunchtime so if I can help, I will.
Well, where has the year gone? It has been wonderfully busy and I have been very fortunate to work on lots of exciting commissions as well as meeting so many talented people on my willow sculpture workshops all over the country. It is now time to plan for 2023. I will be releasing dates for my day sculpture workshops at Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham very soon. All the workshops will be listed on my website and you can reserve a place by contacting me by email or phone.
I have been running Willow Sculpture Workshops at various new venues over the last few months throughout the UK but still love to host the days at Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham, Cheshire. It is a lovely venue with a great, well ventilated room and bags of space. The cafe does super lunches and the cakes… well they speak for themselves! I never invite more then 6 people to attend and don’t dictate what people make, so as long as it is achievable in the day I am up for a challenge.
Caroline will be teaching 2 days of Willow Sculpture on 9th and 10th August
I have been delighted to make five groups of figures and animals in willow sculpture form that represent historical connections with the area. They are displayed around the park at the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath and can be viewed as part of the entrance price. The figures include the Regency woman on a donkey and her guide as shown in this image. This was once the way wealthy visitors (including Queen Victoria) visited the pleasure gardens at The Heights.
Due to cancellation I now have 2 spaces available on my next Willow Sculpture Workshop at Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham, Cheshire. Friday 18th February 2022. The room is large, with good ventilation and I request that everyone be fully vaccinated and should wear facemasks. In the event of cancellation due to Covid related issues, places can be transferred to a workshop later in the year. Further details in my Workshops section of the website but feel free to contact me if you have questions or would like to book a place.
